When the Department of Buildings comments are received after your submission, make sure to carefully review each comment and respond specifically and clearly.  Every resubmission takes time and makes the approval process much longer.  If you are in doubt on how to respond to certain comments, make sure you review the applicable Zoning and Building Codes thoroughly.  You can even consult with your team and Filing Rep to come up with solutions.  You can always plead your case to the examiner and may have a comment removed or shown as resolved!
